FAQ

Is this site just for Australians?

No.

While sometimes I will produce an article just for Australians, currently my articles are focused on ways for you can escape, no matter where you live.

When I do write information just for Australians I will make a note at the top of the article.

But please note, while the main blog is for everyone, my Escapee Guides, the ones about working holidays at least, are solely for Australians. They were created that way because I am an Australian and on the Internet we have a serious lack of quality information about working holidays.

What’s the point of this site?

This site is to help everyone escape from the real world. It’s a place where you can find out how to travel the world, and do so with very little money.

This blog is purely to get you thinking, to introduce you to the concept that the real world as it has been forced upon you doesn’t exist. You don’t have to get a real job in the real world. You don’t have to spend your life waiting for retirement before you travel and you don’t have to have a lot of money to see everything that you want in life.

Introvert Sneaks through the world?

That’s my personal goal; I am trying to get as many people to travel the world as I can by providing detailed information with step by step instructions by producing articles on this blog.

But that’s not getting me out of Australia personally, and I would hate to help all these people escape and still be here myself. So I have created a personal goal to travel to every country in the world and do 3 different working holidays before I hit 30.

But I am an introvert and I can admit that, I have issues with comfort zones and the world seems like pretty much as far as I can get from the comfort zone called Australia. Except for London strangely, which I am more comfortable in than at home.

Why before you hit 30?

I need to have a deadline; otherwise it won’t get done, which is pretty much what every personal help person in the world will tell you – set measurable goals.

So I have and the big 30 is going to be when I have my big meltdown. I know it’s somewhat traditional to have one at 30 – but personally when I hit 30 all the working holiday programs in which Australia participates with around the world end when you hit 30.

How can you travel all the time? Doesn’t it cost a lot?

Some of my friends, there are a few of them even though I am an introvert, spend more than a couple of hundred a month of going out. I don’t. They have student loans, expensive cars and nice clothes and un-necessaries. I don’t.

I would rather travel the world. I make minimum wage for most of the year and still manage to get away enough to see my goal coming true. It’s all about priorities.

Where in the world are you now?

Currently I have not thrown of the shackles and am still in Australia, but this will be updated once on the move.

Where are you going next?

London is next on this list, for sanity reasons I am ignoring the fact that I have already been to the UK. But it is one of my favourite cities in the world and I miss it.

What’s your favourite country in the world?

I will update this when I have officially seen all of them.

No really, it’s too hard to choose, though an honourable mention goes to the UK of course and Italy.

Can I meet up with you around the world?

An introvert at heart, this is a hard question to answer, but in the effort of meeting the people who actually read this, (which I love you for), sure. I usually post where I am going to be before I go there so I would love to meet up. While still escaping you can always contact me.

Escapee notes

Sometimes the bad days outweigh the good and it seems as though the doors will never open. That is just the moment before everything turns out right.

Fate is testing your willpower, don’t let her down.
