Travel Informational Sites

The Four Hour Work Week- Tim Ferriss doesn’t write exclusively about travel, more lifestyle design, but either way his articles are a great read for any wannabe traveller.

Free Pursuits – Corbett Barr writes some great articles on lifestyle design and how to travel the world, a good site.

Matador Network – A great travel network with quality articles all about travel and life. I even have a few of my articles there featured at The Travelers Notebook. :)

Nomadic Matt- A really good resource with articles on just about anything travel related. Recommended.

TravMonkey – A world travel magazine for backpackers and budget travelers, very good resource. Recommended.

Travel Blogs

Almost Fearless- This blog is about Christine Gilbert, a woman that went from corporate manager to full time traveler and writer. She has some incredible stories and great articles.

The Art of Nonconformity- Chris Guillebeau doesn’t write exclusively about travel, more about lifestyle design in general, but his blog is extremely worth the visit. Don’t forget to read his free manifestos.

Location Independent – A blog about how to live and work anywhere in the world.

Killing Batteries- Leif Pettersen tells us of his rise into the travel writing world and how he travels around the world. Always good for a laugh.

The Professional Hobo- An ongoing blog about Nora Dunn, the travelling professional hobo who travels the world incredibly cheaply.

Travelling General

Webjet – This is a good compare and contrast search engine site. It can help you find the cheapest airfares.

Singapore Airlines – It’s my favourite airline, they are the best.

If you don’t see your blog/site, or you think I should add another must read site, please go to the Contact page and let me know.

All links will be considered for the site, but please make sure they are travel related and will fit in what Escaping Australia is all about.
